Anbar University's College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences organizes a large-scale afforestation campaign on the occasion of National Afforestation Day

As part of the celebration of National Afforestation Day, the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Anbar University organized a large-scale afforestation campaign on campus with the participation of faculty, staff and students to emphasize the importance of increasing green spaces and enhancing environmental awareness

The campaign was supervised by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Labib Zuwayan Musaikh, who stressed in an opening speech the importance of environmental initiatives in improving the quality of university life and contributing to achieving a healthy and sustainable environment. A number of professors, employees and students participated in the campaign, who showed great enthusiasm for this initiative, which aims to enhance the environmental aesthetics within the campus.

The campaign included the planting of a large number of trees and various seedlings in the gardens surrounding the college, which contributes to improving the general view and increasing the green area within the university.

This campaign aims to enhance environmental awareness among students and the university community, support national efforts to increase green spaces, combat desertification, and create a more comfortable and attractive university environment for students and faculty.

At the conclusion of the campaign, the Dean of the College stressed that this initiative comes within the college's plan to promote environmental and community activities, and we will continue to organize such events that contribute to achieving sustainable development inside and outside the campus, and called for more cooperation between students and faculty to support environmental activities on an ongoing basis.

This campaign reflects the commitment of Anbar University and the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences to social responsibility and its role in supporting environmental initiatives that promote sustainable development, in a step that translates the university's vision towards a greener and more sustainable learning environment.
