The Faculty Council of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Anbar University Holds Its Sixth Open Meeting to Review Academic and Administrative Matters and Enhance the Quality of Academic Performance
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Anbar University held the sixth open session of the College Council for the 2025-2026 academic year on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Labib Zouyan Musaykh, and the esteemed members of the Council.
The session began with a welcoming speech by the Dean, in which he expressed his appreciation for the significant efforts made by the Council members and the teaching and administrative staff, emphasizing the importance of working as a unified team and continuing to strive toward the development of academic and administrative processes in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the policies of Anbar University.
The Council also hosted Dr. Jassim Nafea Hamadi, Head of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division, to discuss a number of topics related to the development of institutional performance and the enhancement of quality standards and academic accreditation within the college.
The session’s agenda included a discussion of several important issues related to academic and administrative matters. The meeting reviewed the senior administrative directives issued by the University President, as well as the Dean’s directives regarding the monitoring of work progress and the implementation of established plans to ensure the highest levels of performance.
Regarding academic affairs, under the supervision of the Academic Assistant, the Council discussed the progress of the college’s research plan, as well as a joint academic book project by Dr. Khalil, Dr. Marwan Abdul Hamid, and Dr. Karim Jassim, in addition to reviewing a number of proposals to address the shortage of staff within the Planning Division

Regarding academic affairs, under the supervision of the Academic Assistant, the Council discussed the progress of the college’s research plan, as well as a proposal to co-author a scientific book by Dr. Khalil, Dr. Marwan Abdul Hamid, and Dr. Karim Jassim, in addition to reviewing a number of proposals to address the shortage of staff within the Planning Division, and reviewing the minutes of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division with the aim of strengthening academic standards and improving the quality of institutional work.
As for administrative affairs, under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, financial and oversight aspects were discussed through a review of the fund management minutes, emphasizing the importance of adhering to administrative and financial procedures to support the stability of operations within the college.
This session is part of the Deanship’s commitment, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Labib Zouyan Musaykh, to the continuous and meticulous follow-up of various academic and administrative matters, thereby enhancing the college’s academic standing and achieving its goals for the current academic year.
