In the presence of the President of Anbar University… The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences hosts a distinguished academic discussion on a master’s thesis in the field of sports biomechanics.

In the presence of the President of Anbar University, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, the Assistant President of Anbar University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Abdul Basit Jassim Mohammed, the Assistant President of Al-Ma’arif University for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Prof. Dr. Yasser Mohammed Hamoud, and Prof. Dr. Labib Zouyan Musaykh, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, On Monday, May 25, 2026, in the discussion hall of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Anbar University, a defense was held for the master’s thesis submitted by student Samer Muhammad Hamoud, titled:

“Development of Specific Exercises to Improve Certain Physical and Biomechanical Variables in the Long Jump Performance of Elite Athletes at Anbar University”

The defense was attended by a distinguished academic audience comprising faculty members, researchers, and graduate students, in a scholarly atmosphere that reflected the academic standing of Anbar University and its ongoing commitment to supporting scientific research and advancing graduate studies.

 

The discussion committee consisted of the following members:

Prof. Dr. Jumaa Muhammad Awad – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Anbar University – Chair.

Prof. Dr. Yasser Najah Hussein – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Baghdad – Member.

Assistant Professor Dr. Awras Qasim Muhammad – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Anbar – Member.

Prof. Dr. Walid Khalid Hamadi – College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / University of Anbar – Member and Supervisor.

During his attendance, the University President emphasized the importance of supporting high-quality scientific research that contributes to the development of the sports and academic sectors, praising the efforts of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in fostering a scientific research environment and cultivating distinguished scientific talent.

At the conclusion of the discussion, the thesis was enriched with valuable scientific observations that will enhance the practical and research aspects of the study, and the panel wished the researcher continued success and good fortune in his future academic career.
