  The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organizes an introductory workshop on civil defense in cooperation with the Anbar Civil Defense Directorate

Within the framework of promoting awareness of the importance of public safety and risk prevention, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences organized an introductory workshop on civil defense in cooperation with the Anbar Civil Defense Directorate, with the participation of a number of college staff and students
The workshop aimed to enhance the preventive awareness of students and employees at the college, introduce them to the tasks of civil defense, and the most important measures to be taken in emergency situations, such as fires and suffocation accidents. The workshop also touched on the importance of pre-planning to face crises and provide first aid for emergency cases.
 
The workshop included several main themes, most notably:
 
 1. Introduction to civil defense: Its role in society and its importance in reducing disasters and protecting lives and property.
 2. Safety procedures in educational institutions: How to apply safety standards in the college to maintain a safe learning environment.
 3. First aid: Methods of dealing with emergency injuries such as burns, choking, and wounds, as well as the importance of quick response in critical situations.
 4. Firefighting and dealing with hazardous materials: A detailed explanation of the types of fires and methods of extinguishing them using appropriate extinguishers:
At the conclusion of the workshop, the college stressed the importance of continuing cooperation with the Civil Defense to spread the culture of safety and prevention among students, and the participants recommended that such workshops should be repeated periodically, and that specialized training programs should be introduced to enhance students' skills in dealing with emergency situations.
The college administration also expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Directorate of Civil Defense in Anbar for its efforts in spreading awareness and providing practical trainings that contribute to enhancing security and safety within educational institutions and society in general.
